About Liza

It all started with beads. Liza’s love for jewelry began in her childhood bedroom in Philadelphia, where friends from near and far would climb three flights of stairs to discover her latest beaded necklace or bracelet. Word spread, glowing reviews followed—and before she knew it, Liza had turned her passion into her very own small business.

This knack carried her far—from Barnard College, where she studied art history, to a post-grad corporate job, and finally to a new chapter: becoming a recent GIA graduate gemologist with the vision to bring Liza Jane Jewelry to life.

Each design draws from Liza’s rich background while also reflecting the delight and color she cultivates in everyday life. Every detail—setting, stone, and shape—is an artful exploration of self-expression. That’s why she launched with a fully customizable collection—because joy is personal, and best when shared.

Liza Jane is built on the belief that jewelry should be worn—not hidden away for special occasions. Each piece is designed as an everyday statement, crafted to be mixed and matched, layered with the old and the new, and lived in without hesitation.

Liza’s love for vintage jewelry shines through in her designs, inspired by afternoons spent digging through flea market bins or “borrowing” from her grandmother’s jewelry box. That sense of discovery and history threads through every piece, giving each design a story of its own.

With an art historian’s eye and a gemologist’s precision, Liza bridges eras and aesthetics. Jewelry here is never static—it’s expressive, versatile, and made to live with you.
